Privacy policy
This privacy policy is a draft and will be reviewed before the shop opens.
1. Data controller
WLPSHR, Gijsbrecht van Amstelstraat 294, 1215 CS Hilversum, is responsible for processing personal data as described in this policy. Send questions to info@studio-onto.eu.
2. Personal data we process
When you place an order, we process your name, address, email address and order details, including any designs or patterns you upload. If you create an account using Google or an email sign-in link, we also process your email address, the name provided by that sign-in method, your saved addresses and order history so you can view your orders. If you consent to marketing emails, we record your choice and when you made it. You can withdraw that consent at any time. If you submit an online withdrawal, we record your order reference, email, withdrawal statement and submission time, and send you a receipt.
3. Purposes and legal bases
We use your data to perform our contract with you: handling your order, payment, production, delivery, returns and related emails, and providing your account if you use one. We process data needed for our tax records to comply with a legal obligation. Any marketing emails require separate consent, which you can withdraw at any time. Order and address details are necessary to fulfil your order. Creating an account and consenting to marketing are optional.
4. Service providers
We use the following service providers for our website, accounts, payments and orders:
- Google Firebase — Firestore for data, Storage for designs and Authentication for sign-in
- Mollie — payment processing
- Resend — order, shipping, refund and withdrawal receipt emails
- Vercel — website hosting
5. Cookies and local storage
We use no tracking cookies, analytics, advertising or social media scripts, externally hosted fonts or advertising pixels. To display product images, your browser may contact the server hosting those images. For sign-in, uploads and payments, we use the services listed in section 4.
We store only the following in your browser, solely to provide the website features you use:
- your shopping cart, so its contents are saved when you close the page;
- your sign-in session if you use an account, and temporarily the email address to which you requested a sign-in link;
- an anonymous session identifier when you upload a design, so we can link the upload to your order.
This functional storage is necessary for the service you requested and does not require cookie consent. You can clear it in your browser settings at any time; doing so removes your saved cart and sign-in session.
6. Retention
We generally retain data forming part of our basic tax records for seven years, as required by law. Where a longer statutory period applies, we follow that period. This obligation does not automatically apply to all account data or uploaded designs. We retain other personal data only for as long as necessary for the purpose for which it was collected.
7. Your rights
You can request access to, correction, deletion, restriction of processing or portability of your personal data, and object to processing where applicable. Contact info@studio-onto.eu to make a request. Deletion is not always possible, for example where we must retain data by law. You can withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal. You can also lodge a complaint with the Dutch data protection authority, Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
